Apple Watch · Stress Tracking
Vela measures your stress level using heart rate variability (HRV) directly from your Apple Watch. All processing happens on your device — your data never leaves your Apple Watch or your private iCloud.
During the first few days, Vela builds your personal baseline so every reading makes sense for your body, not for a statistical average.
Vela requires Apple Watch with watchOS 26 or later. It works as a standalone app — your iPhone doesn't need to be nearby to take a measurement.
Vela needs to learn your personal HRV before it can calculate a meaningful score. During the first 7–14 days it builds your baseline — from then on, every reading reflects your actual state.
Your data syncs privately through your own iCloud. Vela has no servers of its own — we never send or store your data outside your account.
Vela requests access to HealthKit to read the heart rate variability data that your Apple Watch already collects automatically.
